Grand Rapid Leaders Approve Fire Station and Fire Equipment

Grand Rapid voted to allow the fire department to spend up to $1.4 million to purchase used low mileage fire apparatus to replace outdated equipment and properties for a future fire station, reports MLive.com.

Fire Chief John Lehman’s plan is to trade in up to 11 outdated apparatus and purchase seven used apparatus, including two aerials, four engines and one rescue vehicle, to restock the department’s reserve fleet.
