Glendale (AZ) Fire Apparatus Hit by Vehicle

Glendale police are searching for a driver who fled the scene after hitting a fire engine that was en route to a medical call.

The Glendale Fire Department engine was responding to a medical call before 8 a.m. Friday when a driver ran a red light at the intersection.

The driver broadsided the fire engine but was apparently uninjured and fled the scene on foot.

No firefighters were injured in the wreck, but the truck will likely be out of service for a while, according to a Glendale fire representative.
