Four Firefighters Injured in Maryland Crash

Seven people were injured, including four firefighters, in an early morning crash on the Capital Beltway in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

Reports indicate that the fire apparatus was responding to another vehicle accident in the area when a tractor trailer rear-ended the engine from West Lanham Hills Volunteer Fire Department. This collision casued both trucks to roll over and strike an SUV on the opposite side of the highway.

Among the seven injured are four firefighters. Injuries sustained are serious, and one firefighter is listed as being in critical condition. A hazmat team also responded because of a fuel spill at the scene.
