It goes without saying that when you drink and drive it is more than just you that is in danger pic.twitter.com/hjDKynr2jTFort Worth Fire Dept (@FortWorthFire) June 22, 2015
A suspected drunken driver crashed into a Fort Worth fire truck Sunday night, sending the 44,000-pound vehicle spinning around, the fire department says.
Firefighters on board the truck were responding to a medical call when they were hit by the small pickup. Officials said the impact spun the fire engine around, but that everyone was able to walk away from the crash without serious injury.
The Fire Department tweeted several photographs of equipment damaged in the crash, as well as photographs of the extensively damaged engine. Officials have not said when they expect the engine to be repaired and available for use.
