Flagler Beach (FL) Officials Consider Fire Apparatus Purchase

City officials continue to debate whether to include funding for a new fire truck in next year’s budget, reports The Daytona Beach News-Journal.

The department would like to purchase a Pierce Manufacturing 2020 Saber for $571,000. Through a savings plan put place four years ago, Flagler Beach has saved $306,759 in reserves for the purchase.

The fire department is looking to fast-track the purchase and is requesting $133,000 earmarked for a new truck in next year’s budget.
