Five Injured in Kansas City (MO) Fire Apparatus Accident

A fire truck responding to a reported fire collided with a car injuring four firefighters and one driver, reports The Kansas City Star.

All five people were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The police department investigated the crash and determined that the fire truck was southbound with its lights and sirens on when the vehicle entered the intersection.

The fire was a false alarm. Smoke was reported coming from the area, but it was a work crew cutting concrete.
