First Line Technology, LLC, the 2012 National Defense Industrial Association Small Business Success Story Winner, announces an upcoming visit from U.S. Congressman Frank Wolf (R-VA). On Tuesday, August 14, Congressman Wolf and his staff will visit the First Line Technology headquarters in Chantilly, Virginia (near Dulles Airport) to speak with employees about the company and to tour the facilities.
“We are very excited to have Congressman Frank Wolf visit our office so we can share our small business perspective the man who represents our company, as well as several of our employees,” said First Line Technology President Amit Kapoor. “We are a small business whose products are made in the U.S.A. and used both domestically and internationally and we’re honored that Congressman Wolf has chosen to spend a few hours with us during the congressional recess this summer. With the economy in flux and the uncertainty of future budget cuts, small businesses have a hard time planning for the future and visits like this one show us that our public servants are willing and eager to listen to our needs.”
Congressman Wolf is a Republican and the most senior of the 11 members of the House of Representatives from Virginia. He is serving his 16th term in Congress and has represented the 10th District of Virginia since he was first elected in 1980. The 10th District has changed during the congressman’s time in office, but currently stretches from McLean to Winchester. Congressman Wolf sits on the House Appropriations Committee (he is Chairman of the Commerce-Justice-Science Subcommittee and serves on the Transportation and State and Foreign Operations subcommittees). He is also co-chairman of the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission, a bipartisan organization made up of more than 200 Members of Congress who work together to raise awareness about international human rights issues. According to his Web site (http://wolf.house.gov), the congressman’s major issues of concern include international human rights and also transportation–a huge problem in Northern Virginia. Congressman Wolf has had a long history in the Commonwealth and First Line Technology is proud to show him another corner of his home state.
