BENTON COUNTY, WA—The Tri-Cities here has an unusual fire apparatus stationed in Pasco–a fire train. The train transports water to difficult to reach places, and it features three monitors. In addition to getting to places that are hard to reach with fire apparatus, the train also acts as a water tender. While local department rigs carry 400 to 750 gallons of water, each train car carries 30,000 gallons of water.
