ALEXANDRIA, VA—An accident involving Fairfax County, Virginia, fire apparatus caused a power outage for several homes in Alexandria.
A fire truck responding to an emergency call hit a utility pole, which caused the power outage to nearly 100 customers, and ultimately came to rest on its side.
Four firefighters were on the apparatus at the time of the accident and were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to WJLA.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
