Evansville IN Fire Apparatus in Accident

Evansville Fire Department’s Engine 3 was responding to a structure fire when it was involved in a wreck with a vehicle.

No one was injured, said Richard Howard, Evansville Fire Department arson investigator, but the car that struck the firetruck was destroyed.

Engine 3 was traveling west and preparing to make a left turn when a car going north came around a semi and hit the fire truck in the side, Howard said. The wreck caused some damage to the fire truck and took it out of service, but it’s drivable, Howard said.
