Erie PA Purchasing New Fire Apparatus

Erie City Council (PA) has approved the purchase of a new rescue-pumper truck to replace a 199 unit at the firehouse at 8th and East Avenue.

The city will spend nearly $670,000 on the new rescue-pumper from KME Fire Apparatus.

City Councilman Bob Merski, Jr. said, “The new truck should be delivered within six months. It was a competitive bid process. There were 12 bidders and we got the best deal for the citizens of the City of Erie.”
