Englewood (NJ) Receives 1911 Fire Apparatus

The Englewood Fire Department received a donation of one of its original fire engines—a 1911 American LaFrance Type 5, reports The Press Group.

The truck remained in the Englewood Fire Department until 1953, when it was purchased by Robert Fuller, a Tenafly volunteer firefighter. Fuller, who is now 94, decided to donate the fire engine back this year.

When the 1911 fire engine arrived at the Englewood fire station, the 10 firefighters on duty were amazed at the antique piece of equipment.
