Executive Director of the ambulance associationBarry Blake said an old facility was far too small for their growing EMS team.
Blake describes the move to a new station as absolutely necessary. With a large staff, the association has two full-time 24 hour crews and one 12 hour daytime crew.
Now, they are able to house their four ambulance trucks, have office space for their staff, and room to just breathe.
It’s taken three years to complete the move, but Blake says they will be able to better serve the area in their central location, “With this facility we landed right on the 50 yard line of our service area. It gives us the capabilites to go north, south, east, and west. It really helps out. It’s going to be great here.”
The facility costs about $1.3 million dollars.
