East Lansdowne (PA) Council Votes to Purchase New Fire Apparatus

East Lansdowne (PA) Borough council unanimously voted in favor of buying a new fire truck for the East Lansdowne Fire Department.

Council agreed to purchase a Pierce Arrow pumper for $487,243 from Pierce Fire Apparatus Company with 15-years of financing through Oshkosh Capital Co.

The truck comes with a one year warranty on the basic apparatus and five year warranty on the engine.

“It means everything to us,” Fire Chief Thomas Johnson said. “It’s a morale booster. I particularly want to thank Mr. Bobnak for his leadership in this matter. This is a big deal for a town this size. This truck will last a quarter century.”
