Dona Ana County (NM) Takes Delivery of HME Rescue-Pumper

Dona Ana County, New Mexico, has recently taken delivery of an all new custom Ahrens-Fox rescuepumper. The chassis is an HME 1871-Spectr, and it is powered by a Cummins ISL9 450-hp engine and Allison 3000EVS automatic transmission. This truck is fully loaded with custom features, to include a unique lighting system that incorporates red, white, and blue lighting. The Hale Qmax has been rated at 2,000 gpm, and custom compartments to include an EMS cabinet on the side of the cab. Its foam system is a FoamPro 2002. The rig’s water tank holds 562 gallons. The TFT deck gun is mounted on a deluge riser to allow height and angle control. Also featured is custom reflective striping across the truck to include the front bumper. It also features a 5-kW Harrison generator.
