Detroit Firefighters’ Equipment Stolen from Scene

Firefighters with Detroit’s Ladder Company 22 had two pieces of equipment stolen from their apparatus while they battle a fire on Sunday, according to a news report.

The Detroit Free Press (http://on.freep.com/1w4d09K) reported that it was the second time in less than two years that the company’s chainsaw and large K-14 saw were robbed.

The saws cost about $2,000 a piece. In a previous instance, the saws were stolen directly from the firehouse.
