The Delaware Fire Department is selling a 1981 Pierce Arrow 85-foot ladder truck, for a minimum bid of $20,000 at GovDeals.com, reports Delaware News.
The City Council approved the selling of the truck as it had “outgrown its useful serviceable life” and held no historical value.
Delaware Fire Chief John Donahue told the City Council the truck would be good for a small department that might use it for one or two runs a year, rather than the 30 or more that is needed in Delaware.
