Dekalb County (GA) Gets New Fire Apparatus

DeKalb County Fire Department has received the nine trucks at a cost of $537,000 each, for a total of $4,833,000.

These were paid for out of the county’s vehicle replacement fund. Typically, fire trucks are replaced every 10 years.

DeKalb Fire Rescue Deputy Chief Garrett Smith said five trucks were delivered in recent weeks. Four more trucks will go into service on Friday.
