It was recently announced that the Dearborn Heights (MI) Fire Department will receive $154,545 via the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program, reports arabamericannews.com.
The funds will be used to purchase a source capture exhaust system (SCES) for the department, the report says.
The AFG Program awards grants directly to fire departments and EMS organizations that are unaffiliated with a hospital to enhance their response capabilities.
