A 75-foot ladder truck is the new addition at the Croton Falls Volunteer Fire Department. The used fire engine was put up for auction by the Ardsley Fire Department.
Croton Falls was the lone bidder at $47,900.
The ladder truck is a 1988 model, built by the Hahn Fire Apparatus Company of Hamburg (PA). In addition to its expandable ladder, the truck is capable of pumping 1,500 gallons of water per minute.
