Colorado Airport Getting $1 Million Grant Funding for Fire Apparatus

Pueblo Memorial Airport (CO) is receiving $4.4 million in state grant money to purchase a specialized fire truck and refurbish the main taxiway.

Airport Director Mark Lovin said the fire truck will cost nearly $1 million because of its specialized equipment.

The money comes from a state tax on aviation fuel and it is awarded to airports by the Colorado Department of Transportation’s Division of Aeronautics.
