Clermont (FL) Firefighters to Visit Boy’s Fire Apparatus Themed Bedroom

Clermont firefighters from Engine 101 will be paying a visit to the home of Jacob Mock, a 4-year-old boy who lives with his parents Jason and Tracy Mock on Rob Roy Drive.

Jacob is considered to be one of the fire department’s biggest fans, noted Doris Bloodworth, the public information officer for the City of Clermont.

“Lots of children are fascinated with fire trucks and admire firefighters,” she noted in a release. “But Jacob could be the only one in Clermont whose bedroom is a replica of the City’s Station No. 1 — complete with a bed frame that is a small version of a real fire engine, including flashing lights and siren.”

She noted that Jason Mock once asked his son what kind of bedroom he wanted, and the child responded that he wanted a fire truck.

“Jason went to work duplicating the station and firetruck in amazing detail, down to an American flag and yellow firefighter jacket,” Bloodworth noted.

Jacob’s mom, Tracy, added, “Whenever we go to city events, we always visit the fire truck.”
