Chicago (IL) Firefighters and Fire Apparatus Operate at Four-Alarm Fire

Hundreds of firefighters battled a fire that consumed an auto body supply store in Chicago, Illinois.

Fire was through the roof upon arrival of the first Chicago Fire Department units. Crews started with an interior attack, but high winds and water supply issues determined a change ins trategy and the fire fight went defensive.

Photographers Tim Olk and Steve Redick were on location. Olk contributed the photo gallery and Redick provides the video below.

Because of the building’s contents, the fire was considered a hazmat incident.
