St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids has announced a new helicopter program.
St. Luke’s is partnering with Med-Trans Corp. The new partnership will help the hospital provide air ambulance services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by providing back-up crew members and aircraft as needed.
“We know that getting people to a hospital where they can receive definitive care for their injuries or their illness in a rapid manner saves lives,” said Joshua Pruitt, Medical Director.
As a part of the agreement, St. Luke’s 1997 helicopter was replaced with a new 2013 model.
