The Cedar Grove South End (NJ) Engine Fire Company 3 has a new station and a new Engine 73, following a recent grand opening, reports tapinto.com.
Mayor Kerry Peterson and councilmen Joe Zichelli and Joseph Maceri were on hand to celebrate the new facility and make the ceremonial cut of the green ribbon.
“I was honored to be a part of the ribbon cutting ceremony today for the new fire house and truck at fire company #3,” Peterson said in a Facebook post. “We have the absolute BEST fire department in the state of NJ, and they deserve the best house and equipment. God Bless, and stay safe.”
“This Fire House is a landmark in town, the first building people see as they enter Cedar Grove,” Zichelli said in a Facebook post. “It is the product of a great working relationship between the Township and the Department, a steadfast dedication by our Town Manager Tom Tucci to securing the best of the best for CGFD, the members, and residents, as well as the support of a Town Council that always has and always will back our first responders. Thank you to all the members of the CGFD for keeping us safe and for your service to the town.”
