Carthage-Wilna (NY) Discusses Disposing Outdated Fire Equipment

The Carthage-Wilna Fire District board of commissioners discussed disposing of outdated equipment.

After no response was received to a listing on craigslist.org for the sale of a 2002 pressure washer, the equipment was declared surplus. Head driver Brian J. Draper was instructed to dispose of it.

Board members also discussed how to dispose of the 1988 FMC pumper, which will soon be replaced.

Draper said the outfitting of the recently ordered fire engine from Kovatch Mobile Equipment is progressing well and delivery is expected in August.
