Cardington Council (OH) Establishes Fire Apparatus Replacement Fund

Eight ordinances and two resolutions were considered when Cardington Village council met in regular session on November 3, 2014.

Approved was Ordinance 2014-35, which states that the village has entered into fire protection agreements with Cardington Township and Lincoln Township and a review of the agreement indicates that 10 % of all amounts collected be set aside in an established separate fund – the Fire Truck Replacement Fund. This comes as per guidance and instruction from the auditor’s for the State of Ohio that a need exists for the creation of a new fund. The council of the village authorizes, through this ordinance, the Fiscal Officer during the fiscal year ending December 31, 2014 to transfer resources recorded in the Fire Fund totaling $11,700.75 to the established Fire Truck Replacement Fund.
