Car Strikes Parked Jones County (GA) Fire Apparatus

Investigators are investigating how the driver of a car did not see the Jones County fire truck and hit the engine, reports The Jones County News.

The fire engine was set up with emergency lights activated in the slow lane of Gray Highway to alert drivers to move to the left lane and slow down because of the accident ahead.

Eyewitnesses to the accident stated that the driver never appeared to slow down or attempt to change lanes until slamming on the brakes.

All the people in the car were transported to the hospital. The other passengers in the car were a 12-year-old girl and 4-year-old boy.
