Byram Buying Fire Truck

The Byram Fire Department is adding equipment and planning for two new fire stations.

The truck is being purchased from Clinton Fire Department, which is selling the 1993-model truck for $15,000.

Byram Fire Chief Marshall Robinson said the city set aside $40,000 to buy and equip the truck. The city also applied for a grant to pay for two more pumper trucks.
