Buffalo (NY) Fire Apparatus Involved in Accident (Again); Four Firefighters Taken to Hospital

Crews were responding to a call with the apparatus’ lights and sirens activated.

Four Buffalo (NY) firefighters were injured after a fire truck rolled over on Fillmore Avenue on Friday afternoon, reports wgrz.com.

Crews were responding to a call with the apparatus’ lights and sirens activated when a driver attempted to make a turn, and the apparatus had to swerve before it fishtailed and tipped on its side, the report says.

Four firefighters were taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment for various undisclosed injuries, and all were released.

Officials say the apparatus suffered extensive damage, but no charges have been filed yet.

It was the second apparatus accident in four days, as a school bus and fire truck collided on Tuesday morning, FA reported.
