Brooklyn WI Voters Approve Borrowing Money for Fire Apparatus

Brooklyn (WI) electors approved borrowing up to $135,000 for the town’s share of a new fire engine, ending a year-long saga.

Total cost of the W.S. Darley Co. pumper truck is $445,611. This will be split evenly between the city and town, which share the joint fire department.

The truck includes a 1,000-gallon tank and a compressed air foam system. The 1,000-gallon tank is key in the town, which has no fire hydrants, fire officials have emphasized.
