Bridgeport (CT) Fire Apparatus Involved in Accident

A Bridgeport fire truck was involved in an accident while responding to a house fire, a city spokesman said.

The report of fire came in shortly after noon, public safety spokesman William Kaempffer said.

While responding, the Ladder 6 truck was involved in an accident with a car at the intersection of Barnum and Central avenues, he said. One firefighter was taken to a walk-in clinic for observation. The driver of the other vehicle declined medical treatment.
