Bowling Green (OH) Fire Apparatus Hit by Car


No injuries were reported Tuesday after a car struck a Bowling Green Fire Division truck as it was en route to a fire report.

Bowling Green Police report the engine was responding to a fire call in the 100 block of Wintergarden Road at 6:52 p.m. and was southbound on Thurstin Avenue near East Wooster Street with lights and sirens on.

At that time, a vehicle driven by Mary Stanish, Bowling Green, was also southbound on Thurstin and failed to yield the right of way, striking the fire engine, which was attempting to turn west onto East Wooster.
