Bloomington (IL) Fire Apparatus Damaged Responding to Fire Call

Fire officials said a driver was ticketed after they crashed into a fire truck that was responding to a fire call.

The Bloomington Fire Department was called to OSF St. Joseph Medical Center for what turned out to be a false alarm at about 7 a.m. Tuesday. The fire truck had its lights and sirens on when it was hit by a Toyota Camry at the intersection of Washington Street and Regency Drive.

The crash caused about $10,000 in damages to the fire truck and another fire truck was dispatched to the fire call. There were no injuries.
