Rachel Wheeler, a volunteer with the Blaine Volunteer Fire Department, made the following post on Facebook Sunday, Dec. 17:

On behalf of the Blaine Volunteer Fire Department, we would like to apologize for canceling Santa at our community stores. We were dispatched to a wildfire on N. 201 and had an accident. Engine 53 was en route and dropped off the road and flipped on Rt. 32 in Blaine. Thank God no one was seriously hurt and our engine was the only one involved. Our fireman was transported to the emergency room for precautionary measures.
