With a bit of a push from members of the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department (and a little assistance from modern diesel technology), the department announced its new engine is in service, according to a Facebook post.
Engine 8 is a 1,500-gallons-per-minute Pierce heavy duty rescue-pumper built with the growing community in mind, the department said.
A huge thanks is in order for the build committee, TOBFD administration, TOB Mayor and Town Council, the TOB Fleet Maintenance Facility, and to the fire department members for their hard work putting this project together.
