Armada Township (MI) Fire Department Gets FEMA Grant for Fire Equipment

Armada Township Fire Department is using a federal grant for a new pumper-tanker truck, reports Mancomb Daily.

The truck is expected to be delivered late next summer or early fall of 2021. The new truck will carry 2,700 gallons of water, due to the few fire hydrants in the township.

The $429,000 grant will also be used toward COVID-19 Tyvek safety equipment and fitness training. The grants carry a 5% match that the township must pay.
