Haven South LLC AFAST nozzle will flow approximately 200 gallons per minute into a fully charged attic fire and within one minute should quell the fire. The only moving part on this nozzle is the shutoff valve. Without obstructions, the flow pattern is about 35 feet. This covers a 360-degree area with a deluge of water. The nozzle itself is attached to a five-foot piece of pipe for elevation into the attic itself. Once the nozzle has cleared the mark on the pipe, it can be opened for operation. The ideal attack is vertical and as far upward into the attic as possible, then bring it back down before shutting it off.

Ergodyne ice traction device is part of the TREX™ Footwear Accessories line. The TREX 6315 Strap-On Heel Ice Traction Device will be available this month. The design of the new 6315 uses a corrosion-resistant steel heel plate secured to the boot with heavy-duty webbing that can be adjusted for a snug, secure fit. The aggressive tread pattern of the steel heel plate greatly increases worker traction on ice and snow, yet leaves the midfoot region open for common worker activities such as vehicle operation or ladder climbing. Traction on ice and snow is not just a daytime issue. Reflective accents on the rear of each ice traction device offer the added benefit of enhanced worker conspicuity during nighttime wear. Available in two sizes and fitting shoe sizes five to 16.
