Andover (ME) Approves Tanker Fire Apparatus Purchase

Residents voted 50-34 to purchase a tanker truck for $368,533, reports Sun Journal.

The new tanker will replace Engine 2. This truck will be able to hold 2,000 gallons of water. Another department tanker hold 1,500 gallons. The fire truck has four trucks in the fire department.

Fire officials are hoping to order the truck by the winter.
