Lake Hills (IN) Fire Department Puts into Service Advanced Life Support Ambulance

The Lake Hills (IN) Fire Department now has an advanced life support ambulance in its fleet, reports nwitimes.com.

Ambulance service first began in the department in 1993, and, until this transition, it had to rely on surrounding fire departments for advanced life support, the report says. Now Lake Hills will have a paramedic and EMT at the station 24/7.

The move came via resolution passed by the St. John Township Board earlier this year, which allotted additional funding every year to help pay for the paramedic and EMT.
