Ambulance Kills One Teen, Injures Two Others in Knox County (KY)

One child has died and two others remain in the hospital Sunday after being struck by an ambulance Saturday night.

Kentucky State Police were notified by Knox County 911 that an ambulance had been involved in a collision on US Highway 25E near Lynn Camp Church Road.

According to the preliminary report the ambulance was traveling north en route with a patient, when it dropped off the edge of the roadway, striking all three juveniles who were riding their bikes in the median.

One of the children was pronounced dead on scene, while the other two were transported to Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. Kentucky State Police are continuing to investigate this incident.
