Pierce to Showcase 11 Custom Vehicles at FDIC Intl. 2015

By Chris Mc Loone

According to Matt McLeish, Pierce Manufacturing vice president, sales, FDIC International is by a large margin, is Pierce’s single most important industry event of the year. “With new product and technology introductions—including an eye-popping display of 11 custom apparatus in Lucas Oil Stadium—2015 is another banner year for Pierce at FDIC” he says. “Pierce’s dealer team and international representatives from around the globe are able to spend quality time together with customers and colleagues, not to mention the latest Pierce apparatus. It just doesn’t get any better than that.”

At the show this year, Pierce is showcasing 11 custom fire and emergency apparatus at Lucas Oil Stadium in booth 8835. The display includes five aerials, five pumpers, and a rescue vehicle. Pierce is also featuring two important new product introductions. In addition, Pierce has vehicles on display at various chassis manufacturers’ booths scattered throughout the convention center as well as aerial apparatus demonstrations outdoors in conjunction with FDIC’s hands-on-training programs.

FDIC International, according to McLeish, “is an excellent opportunity to share ideas and best practices with fellow fire industry professionals from around the globe, and that is, obviously, very important. We share many of the same objectives and priorities, and FDIC is a great location to make international connections. We welcome a broader international presence at FDIC.”

For the attendees, it is also an opportunity to see and compare what McLeish calls, “the widest possible range of apparatus, new technologies, and innovative services all in one location. In addition, it’s a great way to meet the people behind these products and services. Seeing new technologies on a web page or in a print ad is great, but it’s far more beneficial and informative to get up close and inspect these products in person.”
