The Stewartville Fire Department accepted a check from All-American Co-op and Progressive Ag Center.
The grant allows them to purchase equipment they weren’t able to before. The station will get two four gas monitors and a thermal imaging camera.
“There have been a number of times where the devices purchased today would have been a great benefit to our response, both the thermal imaging camera inside a structure fire, or the four gas monitors which would allow us to identify where the safety zone is for natural gas leak, anhydrous leak, or if there is a carbon monoxide incident going on within a home,” explains Fire Chief Vance Swisher.
