St. Louis (MI) Gets Grant for Fire Equipment

The St. Louis Area Fire Department is receiving a $32,000 grant to replace older model portable radios, reports The Morning Sun.

The fire department is one of 11 public safety agencies in Michigan to receive funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The grants are rewarded to help rural Michigan communities.

The department is staffed by 25 part-time and on-call firefighters and medical first responders.
