Motorola Ships APX Two-Way Radios

Motorola is now shipping APX 7000 two-way multi-band radios designed to support agency interoperability for first responders. APX communicates with current and future P25 networks and has integrated GPS.

The radios exceed public safety specifications for mission-critical communications. Units include dual-microphone technology that removes background noise for clearer transmission from dispatchers.

APX will continue supporting new data applications as they become available (items such as cameras and biometric sensors). Radios work for all P25 radio systems and will continue to function as networks migrate to new Phase 2 technology.

Introduced to the market in August 2008, the APX has received several recognitions, including the Australian International Design Award and the 2009 Business Week Silver Award. For more information, go to www.motorola.com.
