Five fire agencies in the county launched a closest unit dispatching system, reports Loveland Reporter-Herald.
The Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Berthoud Fire Protection District, Poudre Fire Authority, Wellington Fire Protection District and Estes Valley Fire Protection District have signed an interagency governmental agreement.
Now, instead of relying on response crews in the separate jurisdictions, incidents will be responded to by the closest unit.
