Honeywell Donates Fire Equipment to McCook Fire Department

Honeywell UOP McCook/Riverside facility has donated firefighting gear to the McCook Fire Department as part of the Honeywell Hometown Solutions corporate citizenship program.

The facility donated $2,500 worth of Morning Pride-brand fire equipment from Honeywell First Responder Products, a Honeywell company that manufactures advanced personal protective equipment for firefighters. The donated equipment included boots, protective hoods, gloves and helmets, according to a news release. The McCook facility has donated $2,500 worth of fire equipment to the McCook Fire Department every year since 2011.

Andrew S. Zarchy, site leader and senior director of experimental development, presented the donation to Mayor of McCook Jeffrey Tobolski and McCook Fire Department Chief Joseph Myrick at the Fire Department.

The McCook/Riverside facility employs 210 people and focuses on the development and manufacturing of hydro-processing catalysts and processes for the Honeywell UOP business.
