Hella Adds Advanced Products to Optical Warning System Program

Peachtree City, GA... Hella, Inc., the North American aftermarket subsidiary of automotive lighting and electronics supplier Hella, announces the addition of next generation light bars and warning lights to its growing lineup of optical warning system products and accessories. The new products include the Hella MLB 170 GenII Mini Lightbar and Control Panel, Optilux OS-L400 LED Mini Lightbar, Hella EXL 400 GenII Round and Hella EXL 650 GenII Rectangular LED Warning Lamps, and Hella MS6 Mini LED Lightheads. All of the new products are LED based and feature a robust design for long service life in heavy-duty applications.

Hella MLB 170 GenII Mini Light Bar
The Hella MLB 170 GenII Mini Light Bar has a unique LED light head design with superior optics for optimum controlled light output. It features a low profile configuration and offers 360º of visibility. The “touch and change” wire-controlled selection offers 24 unique flash patterns so customers can customize the lightbar to fit their specific application needs. Replaceable light modules allow customers to choose their own color combinations.
The new lightbar is available with an optional in-cab control, which includes a numeric flash panel indicator and push button technology for optional flash pattern selections. Customers may select patterns with three pre-select buttons, LED flash and dimmable display. The panel comes complete with a 9 ft./ 3 core cable and removable side mount tabs. The MLB 170 GenII can be used as a fixed or magnetic mount. The fixed mount comes with rubber mounting pads and screws. The magnetic design includes 2 x 95 lb. pull magnets and removable rubber boots, plus lighter plug with “on” light allow for quick switches and flash pattern changes. Optilux LED Mini Lightbar OS-L400
The Optilux LED Mini Lightbar OS-L400 meets SAE J845 Class 1 and comes in a fixed or magnetic configuration. It offers 10 flash patterns and is available in mid April 2011. Amber/Blue/Red Dual colors are available by special request.


Hella EXL 400 and EXL 650 Warning LightsHella EXL 400 and EXL 650 Warning Lights

Hella EXL 400 GenII Round and EXL 650 GenII Rectangular LED Warning Lights are designed to easily fit existing mounting holes in vehicle bodies. Hella uses its unique optics design to deliver superior 40º angular performance and light output. Up to 16 flash patterns can be chosen via ‘touch and change’ wire controlled selection. The lamps conform to SAE Class 1 for maximum versatility and operational use. They are water-resistant and have built-in DOT capability.

Hella MS6 Mini LED Lightheads features 6 powerful LEDs for superior warning effectiveness, and an ultra thin design to offer a wider range of mounting opportunities. The MS6 Mini LED Lighthead can be mounted on almost any vehicle due to its compact size and robust structure. The MS6 is a Multivolt (12-24V) lighthead with18 flash patterns.
