The Springfield Valley volunteer company reported that fire equipment was taken from a fire station between Nov. 2 and 13.
“These are tools the fire company has worked hard to raise funds for over the years so they are able to provide better safety to the citizens of our county,” Chief Deputy Nathan Sions said in a press release Monday morning. “Ironically, these tools could have been used this past Friday for a brush fire in the Purgitsville area.”
Items include a camouflage All-Terrain Kawasaki mule, 2 Stihl leaf blowers, a Stihl chain saw and 2 Marine batteries.
