Grant Helps Pattonville VFD (TX) Buy Fire Apparatus

The Pattonville Volunteer Fire Department will soon have a new fire truck, thanks to a grant program.

The Texas Forestry Service presented a $200,000 to volunteer chief Curtis Wilson and the community. The department received the brand new tanker through a grant they applied for a couple months ago.

“I think it’s going to do a lot of good, especially to protect the people around here,” said volunteer chief Curtis Wilson. “We can get there quicker, we have a lot more water and a lot better truck now.”
